Roadside Assistance
Roadside Assistance
Whether you run out of gas, have a flat tire, or get stuck in the mud or snow, your personal auto policy may include 24/7 roadside assistance or towing and labor reimbursement coverage that can help.
How do you know which one you may have? First, you can check with your independent agent. If it’s after hours and your agent is not available, recall whether your policy was effective before or after November 1, 2023. If your policy was effective before November 1, you may have roadside assistance. If your policy was effective after November 1, you may have towing and labor reimbursement.
Both coverages provide assistance for various auto-related needs, including:
- Accident scene services
- Locked out of vehicle
- Dead battery
- Towing
- Flat tires
- Out of gas
Roadside assistance also includes:
- Concierge services
- National ATM locator
- Personal assistance contacting a family or work
- Help arranging alternative transportation
The primary difference between these two coverages is how you use them:
- If you have roadside assistance, contact Frankenmuth Insurance at 800-234-4433, and an auto service facility will be dispatched to your location.
- If you have towing and labor reimbursement coverage, you have the flexibility to select your preferred roadside vendor, and you will be reimbursed up to $200 per incident, depending on your policy’s limit. For efficient reimbursement processing, simply provide your independent insurance agent with a receipt, a valid cell phone number, and an email address.
