Let’s have a frank conversation.

In 2010, our leadership team was presented with a unique opportunity – something we simply had to be part of. Years before, we had expanded our company to offer coverage in Georgia. In building relationships with our new independent agents, we discovered one of them had a daughter whose star was truly rising. Her name was Dori Carter, and she went on to excel in junior golf and in her college career. Then, the day she decided to turn professional, we decided to support her as a full sponsor.

For more details (especially more personal ones), we welcome Dori Carter as a guest blogger:

“When Frankenmuth Insurance came to the state of Georgia in 2004, my dad, Len Carter, was one of the first agents assigned to them. However, interestingly enough, my dad already had a relationship with a member of the Frankenmuth Insurance team: Wes Brunn.

“Wes followed my junior golf career – coming to tournaments and watching me play. At a tournament in South Carolina, Wes handed me cold towels to help me stay cool on the course. That day, at age 18, I ended up qualifying for the U.S. Women’s Open (my first major). He continued to follow my college career at Ole Miss.

“When I decided to turn professional in 2010, Wes introduced me to more of the Frankenmuth Insurance family and the rest is history.

“I have some great memories of visiting Frankenmuth and the company’s office. In fact, my first trip to Frankenmuth was the same weekend as a car show. I’ll never forget the cars lining the streets.

“In my first year as a professional on the Symetra Tour, several agents came out to watch me play. Off the course, I’ve had the opportunity to be part of Round Tables (annual agent meetings) in Georgia and Alabama. I was even able to speak at a meeting and play golf with some of the agents.

“Finally, I’ll mention that, because of Frankenmuth Insurance, I have been able to follow my dream of playing golf on the LPGA Tour. I hope to represent the company to the best of my ability. Mostly, I try to do so by interacting with young fans at the tournaments. I make sure they know that we’re glad they’re there, and we hope they’re having fun. I love to sign balls or flags or give high fives. It’s just more fun for them and, honestly, more fun for me. I am reminded that I used to be that little girl, and it keeps my days in perspective.”

Throughout our partnership, Dori Carter has been an excellent ambassador for Frankenmuth Insurance. Her southern charm and natural ability to make those around her smile has been felt by our staff, agents and many who follow her career. She’s a class act, and we are thrilled to sponsor her and have her represent our core values.
